Jack Lawson has come a long way in life from the kid who worked in the school cafeteria, he now has his own billion dollar company, he has the image, he has the right clothes, he eats at the right places but there is still something missing. Noah Mercier works for an advertising agency who is trying to land Jack’s firm, Jack asks him out for a drink and he begins to enjoy their time together until Jack finds out who his sister is and forces him to make a decision he is unhappy with.

This is a well written story that shows you that even the best of the best can have insecurities. Jack is a man who even though he has everything he could ever want still thinks that there is something else out there that would show everyone that he’d made it and even though he does feel an attraction to Noah he thinks that that something is Noah’s sister Hayley Meredith up and coming movie star. Noah arranges the date for Jack but he is attracted to Jack himself, he feels guilt for trading his sister for an advertising deal and makes his own plans to sort it out.

Jack is a quirky character he even labels himself as ‘hurricane Jack’, he’s funny, he’s witty and a force to be reckoned with but even though he comes across as a bit of an ass at first, you warm up to him as you learn his story. There is no big build-up of romance between Jack and Noah, Jack tries to transfer the attraction that he feels for Noah onto Noah’s sister (yeah I know but I did say he was quirky) but Jack finally realises who he really wants. Noah is harder to get a grip on as you only have Jack’s POV but you can tell by his actions that Jack has had a huge impact on him.

These two characters are great together, they have a relaxed attitude with each other and are comfortable together and there is an attraction. I have to say that my favourite part of the book was the epilogue, a glimpse of their life together with Jack still insecure and the love and protection he feels for his father is wonderful, Noah trying to protect Jack and scared that his family will scare Jack off, they were just so sweet.

So with this one I will recommend to those who love quirky characters, insecure men, a fun story and a happy ending that will make you smile.
