This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Marco has come far and proved himself tough enough to be a US Marshal, but he isn't out in the field yet so on advice from Jubilee he enrolls in extra Marshal and FBI courses. Marco discovers on his return that he really does have a family in Jubilee, Kieran, Nicholas, Sean and Trace. But, Marco discovers that his old family haven't forgot about him, and when he goes undercover for the first time he knows he never forgot about one person from his past. Sam is now the leader of the biker gang Born Evil and because of the actions of the former leaders he is embroiled in deals he wants no part of. Sam is trying to pull his gang back from the brink but with his step-father Carter Dellburn bent on revenge, being pushed in directions he doesn't want to go and the US Marshals sniffing around Sam finds himself making deals he might just regret.
Ah Marco, caught in a trap of secrets longings and forbidden love drawn to a man who is on the opposite side of the law. This story is about three years after [b:Spring Leaves|18137846|Spring Leaves (Orgasmic Texas Dawn, #8)|A.J. Llewellyn|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1372507483s/18137846.jpg|25480569] with Marco joining the ranks of the US Marshals and going on his first field assignment. With Marco's first assignment he comes into direct contact with his first love Sam, he is terrified his cover will be blown but Sam hold back for some reason. Sam never forgot Marco but his life is set, he is the leader of a feared biker gang and he has no way out no matter how much he might long for it. Sam and Macro might be on opposite sides, but neither wants the other hurt. Their feelings for each other still burn bright and passion flares but the fall out may be too much for either to handle.
This is a great addition to this series, we remember Marco being a horn-dog but he is more mature and grown up now. He discovers that the family he has chosen will do anything for him and the family he left wants revenge. The conflict he finds himself in due to his continued attraction to Sam is one that could cost him everything if it is discovered but he never really seems to acknowledge it, Sam is different he does think about the ramifications but can't say no. The danger and turmoil that follows them is exciting and new links are revealed in the ongoing war between the US Marshals and the Howard family. We see many of the characters from previous books, we discover that Sam is so much more than a mindless biker and Trace and Marco have targets on their backs.
I recommend this to those who love action, danger, a dangerous relationship, hot secret sex, new twists and the feeling that things are just beginning to heat up.
